Our Story

Just about four months ago, we, the undergraduate students from the American University and the Royal University of Phnom Penh, became fascinated about the food waste problem as human consumption is lost and wasted globally which amounts to about 1.3 billion tonnes per year. Considering this problem over and over again, we became interested in the idea of creating a smart composting machine that can transform organic consumption by humans into a nutrient-rich fertilizer that can be used on indoor and outdoor plants. With iCompost, we strongly believe that there is a new way to transform food waste into something useful. We may function as a small startup, but we are highly responsible, flexible, agile, and committed to making this dream of leaving the world a better place than when we got here.
